🌸 Violet Flower Absolute Oil (Viola odorata)
Soft, powdery, romantic — a classic floral absolute prized in perfumery, skincare, and luxury botanical formulations.
Our Violet Flower Absolute (Viola odorata) is a rare and highly valued aromatic extract derived from delicate violet blossoms and leaves. Known for its fresh, sweet floral and crisp aroma with soft green, powdery, and slightly woody undertones, this material is a cornerstone in classic and modern perfumery.
Unlike violet leaf, which is green and sharp, violet flower absolute delivers a romantic, nostalgic floral scent reminiscent of vintage perfumes, cosmetics, and fine powders. It is widely used in natural perfumery, solid perfumes, and luxury skincare formulations.
Ideal For:
Violet flower perfume making, natural floral perfumes, solid perfume balms, vintage fragrance accords, botanical skincare, luxury aromatherapy.

🎯 Quick Recommendation
- Choose Violet Flower if you want soft, powdery, romantic floral elegance.
- Choose Egyptian Violet Leaf if you want fresh, green, natural leafy realism.
- Choose European Violet Leaf if you want metallic, sharp, and structured green impact.
Many perfumers use multiple violet materials together — combining leaf for green realism and flower for softness — to create a complete violet accord.
I didn't know Violet Flower Absolute even existed, most resources claim the fragrance can only be captured through Enfleurage (perhaps now, also with CO2).
Regardless of whether or not this is a true absolute from violet flowers, it is quite lovely material. It's not a true match to the natural violet fragrance, but it presents a facet of it that is alluring - powdery and soft, with an underlying green quality, and everything sweetens in the drydown. I got about three days of persistence on the strip.
