HIGH ALTITUDE NATURALS TM Dipotassium glycyrrhizate (Licorice root extract) is dipotassium salt of Glycyrrhizic acid - the principal component of Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) root. Licorice Root extract offers several benefits when applied topically to the skin.

This potent ingredient is recognized for its ability to help even out (lighten, whiten) skin tone and it has been shown to help preserve hyaluronic acid content in skin. Glycyrrhizate works to reduce inflammation by inhibiting hyaluronidase. The inhibition of hyaluronidase helps maintain a higher level of hyaluronic acid in the skin, thereby improving suppleness and keeping skin hydrated and conditioned.

It is often used to help soothe skin by fighting redness and inflammation, which is particularly useful in sensitive skin formulations. Dipotassium Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate is also widely regarded as an effective skin lightener/brightener and antioxidant. It is often used in facial moisturizers, anti-aging products, sunscreens, cleansers, foundations, acne treatments, skin lighteners/brighteners, eye creams, and face masks.
